About Selangor International Fellowship Programme (SIFP)
The Selangor International Fellowship Programme (SIFP) is a flagship initiative under the Selangor Education Summit and the Selangor International Book Fair (SIBF), aimed at strengthening international collaboration in the global book industry.
Since 2022, SIFP has gathered fellows from around the world to engage in professional exchanges, business matching, and knowledge-sharing sessions in Selangor, Malaysia. The programme connects publishers, authors, educators, and book professionals globally through meaningful dialogue and cultural exchange.
2022–2024 Fellowship Growth
Over the past three years, SIFP has welcomed:
- 2022: 7 fellows from 6 countries
- 2023: 8 fellows from 8 countries
- 2024: 9 fellows from 7 countries
In total, SIFP has built bridges with 18 countries, continuously expanding our global network of book industry professionals.

Selangor International Fellowship Programme 2024
The Selangor International Fellowship Programme (SIFP) 2024 marked another meaningful milestone in fostering cross-border collaboration and cultural exchange within the global book industry.
In 2024, we had the honour of welcoming esteemed fellows from:

Their presence enriched the diversity of the programme and further strengthened international ties within the publishing ecosystem. By 2024, the SIFP alumni network had grown to include representatives from 18 countries.

SIFP 2023: The Second Year
The second year of the Selangor International Fellowship Programme took place in 2023, where we had the pleasure of welcoming fellows from:

SIFP 2022
SIFP 2022: The Inaugural Launch
In 2022, the first-ever SIFP was launched, bringing together participants from six countries, including:
- United Kingdom
- Egypt
- Turkey
- Indonesia
- South Korea
- North Macedonia
This inaugural event marked a significant step toward fostering global collaboration in promoting children’s rights and empowering the international book industry.
The Selangor International Fellowship Programme aims to strengthen Selangor as Southeast Asia’s Children’s Rights hub, where we can promote Malaysian works and collaborate with international partners. This programme focuses on information exchange, professional dialogue, and the building of the international book industry ecosystem.
Last year, six countries, comprising the United Kingdom, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, South Korea, and North Macedonia, took part in the first-ever Selangor International Fellowship programme.
